Just wondering if anyone with more knowledge on CPU Graphics and Windows 10 can let me know what is going on. I upgraded both my laptop and desktop to windows 10. One is running an Intel core i3-2310M @ 2.10 Ghz and Intel core i5-4670k @ 4 Ghz respectively.

So my problem is that the drivers for the Intel HD graphics 4600 doesn't or won't update to the newest drivers Intel has on their website for this device on Windows 10. I am constantly getting BSOD crashes, with a video related error. Things like Youtube can cause the display driver to crash and often recover (when it does it pops up the bubble saying the Windows 8 driver has crashed and recovered, but this is supposed to be the Windows 10 driver). Anyway, in trying to run a fairly light game like World of Tanks my laptop can run it just fine with minimal settings and still get 30 fps. Unremarkable I know but hey its an old laptop.

However my desktop with the newer and more powerful chip can't run it at all and the game locks up (before I can even adjust the settings and they are all on minimal as far as I know). After failed attempts with resolving this with both Microsoft and Intel I want to know if this is an Intel issue for not providing adequate drivers or Microsoft's for not allowing the driver to install or some other convoluted Windows 10 issue. TL: DR: Buggered up Intel graphics driver for Windows 10, can't even run stuff my older laptop (also windows 10) can. Whats the issue? Can't install, rollback, or update different drivers. Specs: Intel i5-4670k OC'ed to 4Ghz Intel HD 4600 Graphics (running integrated till paycheck comes and I can get a 970, but that's weeks away) Windows 10 (Is anything else really going to factor to this issue?). Welcome to the upgrade hell of Win10.

For real, wtf. I'd reinstall Win7 on a partition if I had room on my 1TB for it.

I like like the aesthetics of Win10, if only it could work like Win7. I didn't have any issues back when I was using my Nvidia 650 GPU. But I was like eh, I can sell it and just upgrade to a 970 and wait a little until I have the money.

I mean hell Nvidia had DAY ONE drivers for a card as old as the 650 and Intel is telling me that haswell and 4th CPUs aren't a priority to get drivers out for Win10. I payed over 200 USD for this CPU and its not getting rapid support? Win10 has been out for how long now and your techs STILL haven't figured their sh*t stuff out? This is unbelievable. You're lucky that there isn't much competition in the CPU market Intel. Sorry rant over.

But FR Intel literally told me that I should buy a dedicated (Nvidia) GPU because I could go f*ck myself and I wouldn't be getting and decent drivers soon. Okay not that last part but they did tell me by best option was to buy a dedicated GPU. Which is the equivalent of the help desk saying, 'your computer is buggered go buy a new one mother yar'.
