Winmugen Screenpack
Winmugen generally sounds better and freqmul works there. The latter being the only reason i and a handful of japenese creators haven't fully migrated to 1.0. Though it sounds worse 1.0's sound engine is more stable than winmugens (doesn't cause crashes).
Ziltama's MUGEN Page Ziltama's MuGeN Site O' Various Crap-ola - Screenpacks Download Area: Hi-Res Screenpacks (only select screen is hi-res). Only 1 available. This screenpack is compatible with Windows MUGEN 'Plus', which itself is compatible with both low-res and hi-res stages.
This will NOT work properly on regular MUGEN or possibly other variants. Simply setting DoubleRes = 4 in regular mugen is NOT the same as hi-res MUGEN. Available Screenpacks: ( click on thumbnails for more information) Saikyo Style M.u.g.e.N Version 1.0.
Hey guys, how is it going? Vray sketchup free download. Since i was out of the MUGEN community for a long time, i've been asking myself about which MUGEN version i should use.
I always used WinMugen, and i had a lot of problems with 1.0 in the past, and i don't know anything about 1.1. I just want to know which one is the best based on your opinions guys, and also a few questions: Can i use chars/stages/screenpacks for WinMugen in 1.0/1.1? Is there a big difference betwen WinMugen and 1.0/1.1 in terms of chars? I love a lot of WinMugen chars and i'd like to keep using them if i change of version. Thank you again! The only superior thing about winmugen to 1.0 is sound capabilities. Winmugen generally sounds better and freqmul works there.

Regarding character functionality there are 2 major things 1. 1.0 parses things more 'accurately' than winmugen does which basically means winmugen will parse code that is technically incorrect while 1.0 wont (best example being format specifiers for displaytoclipboard) and would require the character to be 'fixed' for 1.0. Any character that heavily utilizes freqmul and/or volume for the sctrl playsnd will sound like absolute shit. Outside of that most everything that works for winmugen will work just fine for 1.0. Go 1.1, its the best.( if you want HD screenpacks, custom ports, zoom, HD stages, that is) If you dont care about this stuff you are good with 1.0 example [youtube]If you are new and dont know about this stuff, here's a decent zoom example, beginning of the fight. [youtube]But you have to edit defs and sprites most of the time, if you dont want to do any kind of tweaking and just to get started and playing, go 1.0. We already have like 5 threads devoted to this topic - the last 2 of which I can find being here The summary of all of these threads was: 1.1 is superior to 1.0 in every ways because you can do everything on 1.1 that you can do on 1.0. 1.1 has the added benefit of zoom, RGB 32bit PNG, better transparency handling, better support for HD resolutions, more interpolation options for the.air coding, and of course OpenGL support.
